Blank Marker Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DVWebApps (“we”, “our” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you install or use the Chrome extension named Blank Marker (the “Extension”), and the related payment web pages used to top up usage limits.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information required for the Extension to function (registering users, enforce usage limits, and process payments). Collected information falls into the following categories:

• Website Data: We use logged in user information on website to register the user.
• Usage counters: the number of times the user triggers the extension shortcut (CTRL + B).
• Payment information: We do NOT collect or store payment card details. Payments are handled by Razorpay (or another third-party payment provider). We may securely store payment metadata returned by the payment provider after a successful transaction (such as payment id, order id, amount, and timestamp) to reconcile purchases and update the user's limit in our database.

2. How we use the information

• Register and identify users when the Extension finds the special cookie.
• Enforce usage limits and decrement the remaining limit each time the user presses the shortcut.
• Process and confirm payments: after a successful payment the backend (or payment callback) updates the corresponding user's limit in the database.
• Display messages to the user (toasts, modal prompts) such as remaining limit or “contact developer” when limit is exhausted.

3. Where data is stored

We store user data in a cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore).

4. Payment flow & refunds

Payments are handled by Razorpay. We do not collect card or UPI details. After a confirmed payment, we update the user’s limit in Firestore. If a payment is automatically refunded by the payment provider (for example, due to an unverified transaction), please contact us at the address below and we will assist with reconciliation.

5. Sharing & disclosures

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers that help operate the Extension (e.g., hosting, payment processors, analytics), only when necessary and under contract to keep the data secure.
• Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Access to production databases is restricted to authorized personnel. However, no system is 100% secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

7. Data retention

We retain user records (user id, email, mobile, username, limit, status, remark) for as long as the user account exists in our database or as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. If you request deletion (see section below), we will remove your data subject to any backup/archival processes.

8. Your choices and rights

You may:

• Request access to your stored data.
• Request correction or deletion of your data (we will delete your record from Firestore upon request, subject to reasonable verification).
• Opt-out of local storage caches by removing the extension or clearing browser extension storage.

9. Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will post the new policy with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
